Default No hard mode after finishing gwen?

I wanted to get double chest rewards from dungeons, but apparently we don't unlock hard mode after finishing the game.

Is that in the works or are we sol on that?

I would expect it in few months.

HM is supposed to revive older content, which is kinda pointless with new expansion.

It's a quick game even if you aren't a nerd. Sure, doing all the meaningless side-quests and title grinds (lawlawl title grind ftw mirite?!?!!1111!1) will take time, but just like the previous games, finishing the main storyline is quick and relatively painless.

That's part of why I haven't bought it yet, to be honest. I don't want to shell out $40 USD for a game that takes 6 hours or so to breeze through, and less if you finished the preview. If only it was $20, or even $30... Hmmm...

QFT, stick to main quest lines and you can complete it no time at all.

The rants are getting better and better. You're saying you HAVEN'T PLAYED IT yet but still think the campaign is a bit short?

Because someone couldn't possibly be in contact with a multitude of other people that do and there's no way in the world these people could ever possibly describe their experiences during both the preview weekend and release. How could someone ever possibly even imagine they could find out anything about a game they havn't played yet!

It's just impossible!

Or he could have bought the preview weekend for $5 and already done a significant part of the storyline.

This really needs to be fixed. Right now I think GW:EN does a rather awful job at being more content for highlevel characters when it's a ton easier than Factions and Nightfall, and that's made a lot worse without having access to Hard Mode.

I was looking forward to play through GW:EN in slower pace with hard mode enabled, but that plan was ruined once I saw no hard mode button after completing the game. And I'm not tempted to play anymore knowing everything is an absolute pushover.

If Anet doesn't wanna add hard mode because there's no vanquish or guardian titles... then add it anyway! I want it for the sake of challenge and fun, I don't care about any darn titles.

The idea that there are people out there that have already completed GW:EN, makes me feel sad inside

Hold me....

Yeah... Regret is starting to sink in, I'm honestly not sure if this game was worth all that it cost, should have been 25$, 30 at most :/. While i haven't beaten it, from all the things that I've heard people saying ''It's short'' ''It was over like out of no where'' just gets really discouraging.. I'm not even playing right now.

Guess It's back to the drawing board for me.

You rushed due to greed and you got done over because there is no 100k+ end game items (that's right, none of them will sell for 50k in a week or 2). Shame.

Have fun redoing them dungeons for that measly 3k diamond or that soon to be semi-rare Runic.

What is even funnier is people selling off their dungeon dropped Runics as "fresh out of HoH!!" as if that would effect the price in anyway.

I remember a system chat line that came up in the Preview that HM was accidental disabled and they were working on it?
Did anyone else remember this line that showed up while we was playing the preview?
Thought they did do HM for Gwen?

I played it for 6 hours, not even done with the asura quest tonight.

I think that if you actually explore areas, kill everything in all the zones, do all the quests, it will take a bit shorter then, oh say factions.

What I'm doing.

I played yesterday for almost 7 hours non-stop... Done maybe 3-4 primary quests and I have only 10 points of Master of North. I just don't like to RUN RUN RUN! through games. That's why I got bored with F.E.A.R.. Because I played it few hours in a row and now I think that it's really close, while I was hoping for more than 15 levels...
And yep, pretty much you ruined your gameplay, as you will know everything in the game now (well, you'll the plot), so it'll seem boring to you.

I didn't rush as some people like to say, but I did play it and followed the primary stroyline as I'd looked forward to new content for a while. It didnt take that long really, maybe it seemed less as I'd played all the preview weekend though.

The game generally was pretty easy IMHO but I was looking forward to oplaying it in Hard Mode once I'd completed it.
With there being no HM, I am pretty concerned that the expansion was poor value for money in comparison to the full games.
Yes, there are plenty of side diversions to do but there being no HM means it will likely be a place I dont come back too very much, which is kind of sad.

As you are a moderator, I find it kind of shocking that you would assume why people finished the game, not knowing them and "attacking" them by your judgment.
I finished the game as I wanted to see the main storyline and it was significantly easier than I expected and as such I found myself at the end sooner than I had hoped.
